Listening to someone guide you into a relaxed state is one of the easiest ways to relax. Your mind is taken on a journey and unlike meditating you’re not having to focus yourself – someone is doing that for you.

Here at Your Fertility Hub, we’re big fans of using audio visualization and relaxation tracks. They’re a great tool to help you relax in moments of stress or wind down at the end of the day. For fertility, they can be incredibly powerful to help reduce the massive stress you’re under and also to tune into your body’s natural fertility.

So what’s the best way to benefit from listening?

  1. You ideally want a quiet undisturbed place to listen to your track. You want to make yourself really comfortable and if possible close your eyes (as we relax up to 30% more when we do this!) If you’re out and about, try focusing your vision on one thing near you to help keep your focus and tune out other distractions as best you can.
  2. Choose a track that you find relaxing. It sounds silly but if you don’t like the voice or music used, this will annoy you as you are listening!
  3. Listen regularly. It is with a regularity that comes to the greatest benefits. The more you practice getting into a relaxed state, the easier and quicker you will be able to get into your relaxed zone. After a while, as soon as you hear the start of the track or music – your mind and body will instantly be relaxed

Remember not to listen to this kind of tracks when you’re driving or ‘operating machinery’! These should only be used when you’re in a place you can fully relax and be in a restful state.
